The Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library houses an extensive genealogy (family history) collection. It contains a broad collection of genealogy books for most of the Southern states, along with an excellent family history collection.

Research your family tree with our extensive collection of Genealogy material. You will be able to access these sites: National Genealogical Society, Genealogy Bank, News Bank, and Fold3. We have microfilm with past issues of the newspapers and other items.

Many of the records come from the U.S. National archives, The National Archives of the U.K. and other international records.
