Toddlers will participate in the fingerplay “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” and create a sky of stars on black paper.
We’re celebrating Lighthouse Day by making our own Solar Lighthouse. The materials we will use include an empty wine bottle, paint, and a solar light. Use this craft as a yard decoration or window display and shine a little light in the dark.
The children will participate in an indoor camping experience and make s’mores.
It’s National Creamsicle Day and what better way to beat the height of summer than with a refreshing creamsicle? Enjoy a creamsicle and choose a craft you may have missed out on this summer.
School is back in session and you need a time and place to decompress. Visit the library to make a little mess and decompress. The best part, you’re learning without even realizing you’re learning. To enjoy slime fun at home, follow the link https://littlebinsforlittlehands.com/how-to-make-slime-recipes-elmers-glue/.
The children will create a moveable camping scene using the materials given.
Make a keychain or bookmark using small plastic beads. Arrange them on a special pegboard to form a design. Then, using an iron and wax paper, the beads melt together. When they cool off, you have a solid piece of plastic of your design.
Ooey gooey slime anyone? The children will be able to create various types of slime with the ingredients provided.
International Dot Day is soon approaching and we want to use your art to display in the library. The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds is a story of a caring teacher who dares a doubting student to trust in her own abilities by being brave enough to “make her mark”. Adults are encouraged to “make their make” by transforming a dot on a piece of paper into something more.
