Established in 1991, The Friends of the Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library has demonstrated its support of the library in numerous ways which have benefited the residents of our county. Fundraising,  advocacy, and volunteerism are  some of the ways the group has played a vital role in the success experienced by the library.

The group's primary fundraiser each year is the National Library Week book sale. This sale, coupled with the sales of canvas book bags and pencils, helps to generate much needed revenue for Friends support of special library activities and purchases.

Library T-Shirts and book bags are available from the Friends of the Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library celebrating the 100th anniversary of the library.  T-shirts and bags are $10.00 each. They may be purchased at the Circulation desk.
